The Rev. Canon John Wilker-Blakley receives a cheque for $11,083.62 from Gaye Moffett, on behalf of Ottawa West Rotary. Through Gaye, the Club partnered with St. Matthias in raising funds needed to sponsor a refugee family from the mid-East. Thank-you!

St. Luke's Table...is in desperate need of laundry soap, razors, feminine hygiene products, deodorant and toothbrushes. Any support would be greatly appreciated!!!

Please bring in milk bags as we have a parishioner who is going to begin to make mats which are used for flooring in disaster struck areas. Please rinse the bags using a cloth with a vinegar and water solution. All milk bags, even those with holes, are accepted.

St Luke's Table would appreciate the donation of any margarine, sour cream, yogurt containers (the 500 ml size or larger). If you could kindly drop them off at 760 Somerset St W Ottawa between the hours of 8am and 1:15 that would be greatly appreciated.

At the  Feb 2015 vestry St Matthias voted in favour of sponsoring an Iraqi family to come to Ottawa from Jordan where they have sought temporary refuge.  Our refugee work is pressing ahead. We are now in the process of creating the detailed lists of tasks for welcoming the family. If you are interested in helping with some of this, please contact the incumbent or wardens." Please remember the Parkdale Food Centre in your efforts to care for everyone in the community. Donations can be left in the containers provided at the back of the church. Ken McMillan delivers the donations each Thursday morning to the Food Centre. Thank you for your ongoing support

The parish continues to support the Ottawa Diocesean Ministries: Centre 454, Cornerstone Housing for Women, Ottawa Pastoral Care Counselling Centre, St. Luke's Table and The Well.

All the agencies welcome donations for those less fortunate. Donations of Womens' clothing should be directed to the Well. St. Luke's Table are requesting mugs. Donations of mugs can be left at the back of the church.
